Dr. Trisha Wilmoth

Dr. Trisha WilmothDr. Wilmoth received her doctoral degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri. During this time she began to compete in hunter jumper and cross country events. After moving to Florida in 1979 she established a private practice focusing on adults with anxiety and depression. She continued to compete in various equestrian competitions.

In 2002 Dr. Wilmoth attended the Equine Growth and Learning Association workshop on integrating horses as part of a therapeutic treatment team. Last year she was awarded the highest level of training and as of this date she is one of three psychologists in the world to have attained Advanced Training status. She currently works on her Brooksville Ranch conducting equine experiential learning with individuals, couples, families, corporations and returning veterans. Therapy with autistic children has been the most recent application of equine experiential therapy. She, and her husband John, raise pure bred Andalusians and part breeds at their facility, the White Light Ranch.
