Our Summer Equestrian Girls Youth Enrichment Program consists of a one to three week program of skill building.   Students may bring their own horse or have use of a school horse.   There is limited registration for this program so it is imperative that you apply early.   The age range is 10 to 16 years.   It is not necessary that you be an accomplished rider.   In fact, you should not hesitate to apply even as a complete beginner, for we believe that the commitment of our campers is far more important than technical skill in fostering a positive, exciting and fun learning atmosphere for all.

Equine instruction includes but is not limited to:

  • proper ground training
  • round penning
  • long reining – single & pairs
  • driving
  • dressage
  • western pleasure
  • horsemanship
  • trail
  • jumping
  • eventing

Please note that we are vigilant about safety concerns . We have a full staff, and students are never inappropriately left alone to accomplish tasks unattended.

In addition, we will also instruct in specific areas of business training:

  • stable and staff management
    planning and implementation of lessons
    program planning and implementation
    record keeping

Daily schedules and leisure time are thoughtfully orchestrated.

Treasure has an educational event nearly every single weekend taught by only the best clinicians in the United States and from abroad. Please view our Calendar of Events page to learn who some of these people are, for those whose name(s) you may not recognize go to our biography page and click on their name which will direct you to their web site or biography. Students will have an opportunity to participate in these events. In addition we will arrange for specific field trips to other facilities and events of interest.

Schedules will fluctuate, but an average day begins at 7 a.m. with breakfast and ends at 5:30 p.m., with the exception of responsibility for late night barn check, which is rotated. We also pay careful attention to student’s needs for periods of rest and unstructured time throughout the day, as well as their desires for evening activities, movies and fun time!

Maine is known as " Vacation Land " – a title which pays tribute to its breath-taking beaches, parks, and other recreational settings. Regular and varied excursions, which might include visits to museums and concerts are highlights of the TEC experience. Students will have one day off from structured schedules per week, and we will collectively select and plan these events.

Believing that physical fitness is an integral part of riding as well as essential to the well being of teens, we offer a program of physical conditioning and stretching to our students.

Additional activities and lessons are available at the Racquet Club, Golf Club and Karate Dojo, each of which is located within a two mile radius. We will develop a schedule for optional activities, if parents select this option for their youth. Transportation and supervision is provided. Recreational opportunities are also available on grounds: a small pool for cooling down, billiards, ping pong, table hockey, board games as well as an extensive video/DVD library, and trails for walking and riding.

The living environment at Treasure fosters a close-knit family atmosphere, which enables our students to thrive in the educational element. Sleeping quarters are new, 2 students per room, adequate storage of clothing, common living area and kitchen.   Meals are taken together with the family. Opportunities and locations for private time are available when needed. We all need our space sometimes. Hot tub, swimming pool, pool table and other game equipment available on grounds.

Initial applications are available on the "Forms" page of this website. Aside from completion of the designated form, we also ask the prospective camper to write a paragraph or so about themselves and their interest in our camp program. This gives us a small window into their experiences, goals, aspirations, and provides a head start in the process of getting to know them. We strongly encourage parents to call with any and all of their questions. You will probably reach a voice mail as we are a training center year round so please leave your name and number and the best time for us to return your call as it is very important to us. When we return your call we will provide you with our private number reserved for clients only. We look forward to hearing from you.
